Seminole, FL-Salvo Electro Optics is pleased to announce it has begun production of collimation testers for laser characterization. It purchased the product line from Ocean Optics in February. Salvo will continue to support Ocean Optics as well as new customers with Shear Plates ranging from 10mm to 250mm and from visible spectrum through the short-wave infrared. Production will start immediately and orders are now being accepted.
“This was an opportunity to take over the production of a product line that fit our capabilities very well,” said Patrick Bass Executive VP of Salvo Technologies, “with in-house fabrication and coatings that allow for very accurate tolerances, these extremely flat and tight wedge based products will fit in nicely. In addition, we are happy to continue to support Ocean Optics as they had some pent-up demand in the pipeline since discontinuing the product a while back.”
The purchase included the work in process, testing equipment, and process and procedures to reproduce the product to the same level as produced in the past. Production has already started and orders are being processed now. If you have any questions or would like to order please reach out to either your Ocean Optics sales contact or directly through Salvo EO at firstname.lastname@example.org .
