March 28, 2015

Calera, AL—Hunt Distributing Co. (HDC), a leading supplier of high-performance firearms, has relocated to a new facility in Calera, Alabama. Serving the competitive, recreational, and security/defense firearms markets, Hunt Distributing Co. (HDC) distributes, customizes, and manufactures a range of lightweight rifles, shotguns, and optics. The 4000 sq. ft. building will house its manufacturing, warehousing, and administrative operations.

In addition to acting as the exclusive US distributor of Carl Zeiss Military Products, HDC builds highly accurate, user-friendly firearms including its 6lb Timos hunting rifles and the Home Wrecker line of home defense shotguns. The additional space of the new facility will give the company room to grow while guaranteeing the quality and performance customers have come to expect.

“Hunting enthusiasts can spend hours and log many miles tracking their quarry,” said Nathan Hunt, president of HDC. “Our team of experienced gun users and master craftsmen has identified opportunities for cutting weight while minimizing recoil to maximize both comfort and performance. When you combine that with the enhanced manufacturing capabilities of our new facility, HDC is in the best possible position to serve customers.”

About HDC

Launched in 2008 by service disabled US Army veteran Nathan Hunt, Hunt Distributing Co. (HDC) distributes, customizes, and manufactures a range of lightweight firearms and accessories. The success of the company is driven by the knowledge and experience of its team of US military veterans, seasoned hunters, and master gunsmiths. They work to identify opportunities to reduce weight while minimizing recoil. In the past, gun enthusiasts have had to choose between performance and ease of handling. With the launch of HDC, Hunt made it his mission to put together featherweight firearms that don’t require any compromises at all.
