Salvo Technologies’ boresight systems provide high-quality performance, reliability, flexibility, and value. A field-adjustable reticle allows for an unmatched accuracy range of ± .02 mils and immediate compensation for all environmental factors and worn gun tubes. The large objective provides high resolutions and superior light passage in the most undesirable overcast conditions. Magnifications of 8X, 10X, and 12X enhance capability and match most modern fire control systems. Nitrogen purged and sealed optical cells, aluminum and stainless steel construction, a mil specified and proven design provide years of trouble-free reliability and performance. The telescope interfaces with smaller caliber adapters (thru 40mm) via integral 5.56mm and 7.62mm stems, while large caliper designs include a permanent telescope interface. These adapters are mechanically perfect and inherently locate the exact mechanical centerline axis of even the most worn gun tubes. Salvo Technologies’ video boresight system (BCA) adds a new dimension to boresighting with a patented approach unrivaled by the competition.
Salvo Technologies offers three telescopes categorized by magnification 8X, 10X, and 12X. Each telescope is designed to satisfy a specific purpose or application. The 8X is our lowest-weight telescope, best suited for guns below 14.5mm; the relatively light weight of the 8X reduces/eliminates the possibility of system droop in smaller gun tube sizes. The 10X is specifically designed for use on large cal adapters primarily to match the magnification of the related platform. Finally, the 12X provides the highest accuracy, but its larger size is best suited for gun tubes above 20mm. All three telescopes surpass all competitive units in terms of accuracy, resolution, and light passage.

When performing the collimation (or boresighting) process, the highest degree of accuracy is obtained when targeting at as long a distance as possible (typically 1500 meters). However, in some cases, this is not possible or practical. Therefore, we offer a permanent and detachable close focus feature in the 12X and a detachable part (only) in the 8X and 10X telescopes.
Video Assisted Boresighting is a relatively new term in the industry and is best applied to particular applications. A video boresight system provides increased efficiency, safety, and the ability to collimate difficult-to-access gun tubes. The Boresight Camera may be used on any Salvo Boresight Telescope, the Boresight Camera is provided in standard and special video formats, and the imagery is sent to and received by our Control Box with LCD or to the customer’s LCD.
Our new Reticle Illuminator Kit Part # BS-FLH will ease the task of illuminating the Salvo proprietary reticle. The new Reticle Illuminator Accessory affixes to the telescope, making its use 100% hands-free. The illuminator uses 4 each LR41 batteries for 8 hours of run time. The standard light color is white; however, blue, green, or red light is an available option.
