Features and Benefits of PixelSensor Equipment

Our PixelSensor products use on-chip filtering to pack up to eight wavelength-selective photodiodes into a 9-millimeter by 9-millimeter array for easy integration into optical devices. In addition, one PixelSensor replaces multiple components, helping OEMs shrink multi-wavelength instruments.

PixelSensor equipment has wafer-level optical filters that split the spectrum into eight distinct color bands and suppress out-of-band background light, improving sensitivity and contrast.

Salvo’s PCR Sensor is a ready-to-use compact sensor specifically tailored for detecting common fluorescence in PCR reactions. In this 9×9mm array, we have packed the capability to detect 4 different fluorescence signals in one optical path simultaneously.

PCR Sensor has 2 filtered photodiodes for each bandpass filter: 520/20, 560/20, 610/20, and 680/20 nm. The photodiodes are mounted in a 9mm X 9mm LCC package.

The parallel channel design results in no moving parts and more instantaneous measurements than discrete optics designs and spectrometers. Designed for low noise and fast response time, the 20-pin LCC package can be surface or socket-mounted. In addition, the PixelSensor™ OEM electronics board and accessories and simple-to-use software interface provide designers with tools for rapid prototyping and development – to help quickly move your device from concept to scalable production.
