8/27/2014 Salvo Technologies Acquires New Building To Consolidate Divisions

March 26, 2015

Seminole, FL—Salvo Technologies LLC, a leading private equity group, today announced the acquisition of a new facility in Seminole, Florida. Salvo Technologies encompasses three business units that deliver a range of high tech products and services, including design, fabrication, and assembly of optics, electro optics, and systems; electronic; and thin and thick film coatings. The new building will allow Salvo to consolidate operations from multiple smaller facilities into a single location in order to more effectively exploit the synergies among the various divisions.

The expanded operation will be equipped with Class 1000 cleanrooms incorporating Class 100 workspaces. “The fact that we will have greater area maintained under cleanroom conditions will definitely help our growing firecontrol optical assembly business,” said Paul Chung, senior program manager at Salvo Defense LLC, a Salvo Technologies business unit.

The acquisition promises to benefit all divisions of Salvo Technologies, but it is particularly important to the growth path for both Salvo Defense and its sister company Salvo ElectroOptics LLC. “It’s great that we can now just walk down the hall to discuss engineering projects within our companies,” noted Eric Mackey, president of Salvo EO.

“In the past, we used teleconferences and web meetings but nothing compares to the in-person experience.”

Both Salvo Defense and Salvo EO will be completely contained in the new building, along with Salvo Coatings LLC.
